Traxxas Slash® set the standard for durability, performance, and fun by which all other short course trucks are measured. Now Slash 4X4 comes outfitted with the BL-2s™ brushless power system for even more high-flying, fender-banging, action. The efficient BL-2s delivers all-day fun and endless torque for 4-wheel burnouts and ultra-responsive acceleration. Additionally, Slash 4X4 now comes standard with Traxxas’ Extreme Heavy Duty Upgrade Kit to take the most brutal punishment in stride.
NEW BL-2S BRUSHLESS POWER SYSTEM
Slash 4X4’s BL-2s brushless power system ramps up the fun with up to 60% more speed and faster acceleration than comparable brushed power systems. Improved efficiency, high-speed ball bearings, and an internal cooling fan allow Slash 4X4 to run battery after battery for all-day fun. With no brushes to wear out, the BL-2s 3300 kV is long-lasting and requires virtually no maintenance.

Slash’s pre-installed Extreme Heavy Duty Upgrade Kit replaces key drivetrain and suspension components with beefed-up parts made for ultimate strength and durability. From HD suspension arms to the steel wheel hubs, this is the strongest driveline ever offered in a Slash.
NEW CLIPLESS BODY MOUNTING
Slash 4X4’s tough clipless body holds firm no matter how rough the action gets. Heavy-duty latches grip the body tightly, but release in just seconds to access the chassis. Slash’s hidden latching system replaces time-consuming and inconvenient body clips with large reinforced panels to resist pull-through damage.
Oil-Filled Ultra Shocks™
Slash’s oil-filled Ultra Shocks utilize X-rings for a perfect seal and super-smooth performance. Adjust the ride height and pre-load on the white powder-coated progressive springs with the included spacer clips. Ultra Shocks are fully tunable with a wide range of oils, springs, and pistons available.
Long Wheelbase Chassis
Slash’s long 12.75″ wheelbase chassis increases high-speed stability with nearly 3″ of center ground clearance to avoid high-centering. The chassis includes drain holes, and bosses for mounting the optional Velineon® 3s Brushless Power System.
Integrated Chassis Nerf Bars
Tough integrated chassis nerf bars offer side body support and help absorb the shocks that occur during door-to-door racing action.
Long-Travel Suspension
Slash 4X4 has huge amounts of seemingly bottomless, ultra-plush suspension travel to swallow up jumps and delivers incredible rough-track control. Performance-optimized suspension components provide maximum articulation without binding or interference.
Waterproof Receiver Box
Slash’s waterproof receiver box keeps the receiver safe and dry while still allowing easy access for maintenance. The antenna and servo wires route neatly through a patented water-tight seal for true all-weather fun.
Traxxas High-Current Connector
The patented High-Current Connectors funnel maximum power to the vehicle’s electronics. High-Current Connectors also provide the quickest, safest charge for Traxxas batteries.
3-Channel Receiver with Fail-Safe Security
In the event of signal loss due to an accidental transmitter switch-off or depleted batteries, the receiver automatically returns the throttle to neutral and holds the last commanded steering position. The fail-safe programming is conveniently built-in and does not need to be activated.
Digital Steering Servo
The Traxxas 2056 steering servo provides powerful steering authority on tough terrain with 80 oz-in of steering muscle. The fully-waterproof servo uses special O-ring seals to keep the fun going even when things get wet.
Realistic Short Course Tires
Slash’s tires offer excellent grip in the dirt and just the right amount of slide on pavement. The tires and race-tuned foam inserts come pre-glued on tough 2.2″ Split-Spoke SCT wheels with simulated beadlock rings
Adjustable Battery Hold-Down
Slash 4X4’s battery hold-down secures 2-cell LiPo batteries, 6 or 7-cell NiMH battery packs, or 7-cell hump NiMH packs for maximum versatility.
Dual Bellcrank Steering with Servo Saver
Slash 4X4’s dual-bellcrank design pivots smoothly even in the harshest conditions. An integrated cam-type servo saver protects the steering servo from crash impacts without sacrificing steering precision
Innovative Chassis
Slash 4X4’s rugged chassis resists flexing under load for arrow-straight, hard-charging acceleration. The electronics, driveshaft, and battery compartment fully integrate into the chassis for better ground clearance.
Heavy Duty Suspension Arms
Molded from our toughest composite material, Slash 4X4’s heavy duty suspension arms provide just the right amount of flex to resist breaking—even in cold weather! From skate parks to 10-foot ramps, these suspension arms stand up to even the most punishing drivers for non-stop fun behind the wheel.
Hex Hardware
Slash’s hex-drive hardware provides a more positive and secure connection than other fasteners. The black-oxide coating provides a rust resistant high-tech look and feel.
Clipless Race Replica Bodies
Slash now gets a clipless polycarbonate body styled to look just like full-size race trucks. Four tough latches grip the body tightly for intense action, but release in just seconds for quick battery changes. Slash bodies come pre-painted with applied decals, making Slash Ready-To-Race® as soon as you are.
Extreme Suspension Components
Slash 4X4 comes outfitted with the Extreme Heavy Duty Upgrade Kit already installed for ultimate strength and durability. The axle carriers, C-hubs, and steering blocks are beefed up with more material and stronger construction.
Scale Front and Rear Bumpers
Slash’s front and rear bumpers mount solidly to reinforced bulkheads to absorb impacts. The tube-style bumpers offer rugged protection while looking the part of a true short course race truck.
Upgraded Slipper Clutch
Slash 4X4’s slipper clutch features larger alloy pressure plates and high-temperature aluminum pads for superior power handling. The slipper clutch delivers equal power distribution front to rear for instant throttle response through the drive system and aggressive four-wheel-drive grip.
Large 32-Pitch Gears
Slash’s 4X4 driveline is built to handle standard brushless horsepower power and even the extreme Velineon 3s brushless power upgrade down the road. The spur gear features large 32-pitch teeth for total reliability no matter how much power you pour on.

Sealed Steel-Gear Differentials
Sealed steel-gear differentials are ready to handle brushless power without costly upgrades. Silicone gaskets and X-ring seals allow the differentials to be tuned for specific running conditions by varying the viscosity of the oil inside them. Slash’s modular chassis design makes differential access quick and easy.
